Job Summary
Provide 12-hour day or night shifts on the Medical Surgical Unit within the Adult patient population at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Float to multiple units of equivalent or lower acuity across the OSU organization as needed. Manage adult patients with IV starts required and telemetry experience preferred. Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications. Complete pre-employment modules and labs within 48 hours of signing. Submit all time off requests at application and coordinate scheduling directly with the manager upon starting the assignment.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Travel experience is preferred
- Experience with Epic is required
- Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license
- 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- IV start required
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Weekend and rotating holidays required
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity and to different units within the OSU organization as needed
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
