Job Summary
Conduct medical surgical nursing care for an adult patient population on day or night shifts, including IV starts and telemetry support. Float between multiple units within the OSU organization as needed. Maintain Ohio or compact licensure, complete required pre-employment modules, and submit all time requests at application. Provide references covering at least one year of relevant specialty experience within the past three years. Submit a clear response to the auto-offer within 24 hours to accept the assignment.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- IV start
- Telemetry experience
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Weekend and rotating holidays required
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity and to different units within the OSU organization as needed
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
