Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on the Medical Surgical Unit for an adult patient population with a 12-hour rotation. Manage IV starts and float to equivalent or lower acuity units within the OSU organization as needed. Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications while completing required pre-employment modules and lab work within 48 hours of signing. Secure a charge or lead reference from the last two years and ensure all time off requests are submitted at application. This auto-offer position requires a clear response within 24 hours and includes a maximum of 14 days time off.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- IV start
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Registered license type
- 1 Charge/Lead reference from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification
- Weekend and rotating holidays availability
- Ability to float to multiple units
- Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
- Ability to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed
- 14 days maximum time off
- Start assignment restriction of 7 days
- 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- No current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- Pre-employment modules completion
