Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day care for patients with complicated UTIs, sepsis, trachs, PEGs, peritoneal dialysis, AMS, and pancreatitis on a research and complex medicine unit. Perform 14 days of flu challenge research monitoring healthy patients for symptoms, followed by complex medicine coverage. Manage IV starts, PICC lines, and trach care while maintaining BLS and NIHSS certification. Work 12-hour day shifts, three shifts per week, with a maximum of seven days off. Maintain a Georgia or compact license and live more than 50 miles from the facility. Submit two charge/lead references from the last 12 months and complete required pre-employment modules.
Required Qualifications
- 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Georgia license or compact license
- Live >50 miles from facility
- No current placement at Program: AMN Program - Emory Healthcare
- Trach skills
- IV start skills
- PICC line skills
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- 2 Charge/Lead references from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification
