Job Summary
Provide neurosurgical care for patients with stroke, seizures, MS, and spinal conditions on a night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with flexible contract hours of 36 or 48 per week. Float as needed within scope and fulfill occasional charge responsibilities. Maintain a 12-month gap from the HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and ensure a Missouri or compact license is active. Submit all time off requests at application and adhere to a maximum of five days off per 13 weeks, including one facility holiday. Complete required pre-employment modules, upload certifications, and provide two charge/lead references from the last 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Missouri license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO)
- 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO)
- Neuro experience
- Charge experience helpful but not required
- Every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required unless otherwise approved by the leader prior to confirmation
- Expected to work at least one major winter holiday, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day
- Float as needed within scope
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
Desired Qualifications
- 3 months of Epic experience is preferred
