Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on the Neuro/Stroke unit serving adult patients with telemetry capability, supported by PCTs and a healthcare unit coordinator. Manage telemetry patients with virtual sitter monitoring and monitor techs available as needed. Maintain a 12-hour shift schedule with up to six weekend shifts in a six-week period, including holidays based on department needs. Complete required onboarding exams for Ascension Pharmacology, Medical Surgical, and Core Competencies with a minimum passing score of 80%. Submit with a valid Oklahoma or compact license, driver's license, and current certifications including BLS and NIHSS.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Oklahoma license or compact license
- Local & travel allowed

- Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles
- Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position
- In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match address on driver's license
- Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license
- Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations
- Ascension Pharmacology Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension Medical Surgical Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, 2 attempts allowed
- Travelers are required to work up to 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period
- Holidays required based on department needs
- 2 Charge/Lead references required
- Driver's license required for submission
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
