Job Summary
Conduct Medical Surgical Unit nursing care for 12-hour shifts, rotating every other weekend with a maximum of seven days off per cycle. Provide acute care support while floating to additional units and locations as needed. Maintain a clear "Yes" or "No" response to offers within 24 hours and submit all time-off requests at application. Submit to this travel-only role requiring an Alabama or compact license, BLS certification, and a driver's license. Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility and have no current placement at HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- 12 months of acute care experience
- Alabama license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS)
- at least 12 months (1 year) of uninterrupted experience working in the same unit/specialty
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
- clear Yes or No response from the nurse within 24hrs
