Job Summary
Conduct medical surgical nursing on a 12-hour day shift across ENT, general surgery, bariatric, and head and neck units, including care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies. Maintain a Georgia or compact license and hold NIHSS and BLS certifications. Complete pre-employment modules and provide two charge/lead references from the last 12 months. Work a 13-week contract with three shifts per week, limited to seven days off, and observe facility holidays on 10/31, 11/26, 12/24, 12/25, and 12/31. Note that float experience does not count toward unit requirements and candidates must live over 50 miles from the facility.
Required Qualifications
- 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Georgia license or compact license
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Live >50 miles from facility
- No current placement at Program: AMN Program - Emory Healthcare
- Skilled surgery RN
- Float experience does not count toward the unit experience requirement
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Registered license type
