Job Summary
Conduct 12-hour night shifts on the 4th-floor Neuro Med/Surg unit, managing general medicine and post-stroke patients with duties including dysphagia screenings, stroke assessments, and BCMA. Provide neuro/post-stroke acute care while floating to other acute care units within a 25-mile radius as needed. Maintain TR band management and adhere to a schedule involving every 3rd weekend rotation with a maximum of 14 days off per cycle. Hold an Alabama or compact license, BLS, and NIHSS certification, with 24 months of Medical Surgical experience and 9 months of acute care within the last 12 months. Submit charge/lead references from the last two years and complete required pre-employment modules.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 12 months
- 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months
- Alabama license or compact license
- Neuro/post-stroke acute care
- Dysphagia screenings
- Stroke assessments
- BCMA
- TR band management
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Every 3rd weekend rotation
- Float to other units in the acute care division, including facilities within a 25 mile radius
- 14 days maximum time off
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
