Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on the Medical Surgical Unit from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, rotating weekends with a maximum of seven days off per cycle. Manage patient care while utilizing Cerner for documentation, adhering to alternating weekend schedules and 12-hour shifts across three weekly assignments. Maintain uninterrupted 12 months of experience in this specific unit specialty, ensuring all time off requests are submitted at application and scheduling is coordinated directly with the manager upon starting. This auto-offer position requires a clear response within 24 hours and includes a 13-week contract starting ASAP for a registered nurse with an Alabama license.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- 3 months of Cerner experience
- 12 months of acute care experience
- Alabama license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS)
- no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS)
- work experience must reflect at least 12 months (1 year) of uninterrupted experience working in the same unit/specialty
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Candidates must live >50 miles from facility
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
