Job Summary
Conduct 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM on Neuro/Ortho units across Texas, adhering to a schedule of three shifts per week with a maximum of five days off. Maintain a Texas or compact license, hold BLS and NIHSS certifications, and pass required Specialty and Core Competency exams with a minimum score of 80%. Submit to this 13-week travel assignment starting August 2026, ensuring a six-month separation from Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC. Candidates must provide two charge/lead references and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Texas license or compact license
- Local & travel allowed
- 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- 6 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles
- Employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position
- Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license
- Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or national benchmark, 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or national benchmark, 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed
- 2 Charge/Lead references required
- Driver's license required for submission
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
