Job Summary
Conduct night shift care for less acute patients awaiting long-term care placement, managing geriatric, medical/surgical, telemetry, and psychiatric populations. Provide BLS and CPI/MAB crisis prevention support while maintaining Epic EMR proficiency within the last 12 months. Float between the Medical Care Unit and Inpatient Rehab as needed, adhering to a weekend rotation with occasional on-call availability for rapid on-site response. Requires a current Iowa or compact license, 24 months of medical surgical experience, and recent Epic usage. Submit certifications and health documents to expedite onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience
- Epic EMR experience in a like unit within the last 12 months
- Iowa license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Weekend rotation
- Ability to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called in
- Floating between Medical Care Unit and Inpatient Rehab
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or the alternative certification MAB
- 2 Charge/Lead references
