Job Summary
Conduct medical surgical nursing care on a rotating weekend schedule, providing 12-hour night shifts three times weekly. Maintain uninterrupted experience in the same unit specialty for at least 12 months, with 24 total months including 3 months in the last year. Manage acute care responsibilities while adhering to a 7-day maximum time off policy. Submit all time off requests at application and coordinate scheduling directly with the manager upon starting the assignment. This travel-only role requires a Mississippi license, a driver's license, and certifications in BLS and NIHSS, with candidates living more than 50 miles from the facility.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- 12 months of acute care experience
- Mississippi license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- Driver's license
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
- Permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the facility
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Rotating weekends
Desired Qualifications
- 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred
