Job Summary
Conduct 12-hour day shifts in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit, providing acute care to 1-7 patients. Manage patient needs with a focus on recent acute experience, while maintaining 24 months of relevant unit history. Ensure compliance with New York licensure and submit required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Maintain a 12-month gap from the Jones Memorial Supplemental Program and live more than 50 miles from the facility. Work a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM schedule with up to 14 days off, floating to additional units as needed. Submit charge/lead references from the last two years and complete pre-employment modules to expedite onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience
- New York license
- Must have 1 year recent acute med surg experience
- 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates
- 14 days maximum time off
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Supplemental Program - Jones Memorial Hospital and no current placement allowed at Program: Supplemental Program - Jones Memorial Hospital
- Pre-employment modules may be required
