Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, managing complex cases including small bowel obstructions, post-surgical patients, and cardiac rhythm monitoring. Perform advanced procedures such as trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, NG tubes, ostomy care, and wound care while interpreting cardiac rhythms and managing IV pumps and telemetry equipment. This assignment requires 18 months of MS/Telemetry experience with a recent month of relevant practice, an NC license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. The role involves floating within Region 1 units, working 12-hour shifts every other weekend with no call, and adhering to strict scheduling cycles.
Required Qualifications
- 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months
- 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months
- ASN completion
- North Carolina license or compact license
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted

- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
