Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on the Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit, managing patients with stroke care needs and performing required unit-specific competency exams. Maintain current Maryland or compact licensure, provide two recent references including charge/lead contacts, and complete mandatory compliance uploads within 48 hours of contract signing. Submit government-issued photo ID and references via DocuSign, ensuring all gaps over 30 days are clearly explained. Work the facility's determined weekend schedule with up to one week of requested time off, adhering to the 14-day maximum time off policy. Complete required BLS and NIHSS certifications, and be prepared to take unit-specific competency exams scoring 80% or higher.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience
- Travel experience
- Maryland license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- 2+ years recent Med Surg/Tele experience
- 2+ years experience working with stroke patients
- Unit-specific competency exam score 80% or higher
- Basic EKG test score about 85% or higher
- Willingness to complete mRs/SIREN certification if offered
- Willingness to work the facility's schedule
- Must be willing to take Telemetry patients as needed
- Weekend schedule
