Job Summary
Provide professional care to adult and geriatric patients on Telemetry Unit 6th floor using the nursing process, therapeutic environment, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Manage patient groups within a designated timeframe while utilizing treatment modalities and operating technical equipment. Ensure accountability for patient care ranging from assessment to discharge planning. Maintain knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and human growth development principles. Requires current Tennessee licensure, BLS certification, and preferred ACLS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing
- Current licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state
- BLS
- Knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients ranging from adult through geriatrics
- Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures
- Patient care procedures
- Ability to operate technical equipment
