Job Summary
Assess patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis; interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and operate rescue Bi-pap and high-flow oxygen systems. Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies while delegating to PCNAs and nurse interns. Work the 7a-7p or 7p-7a shift on the 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit at MetroHealth Main Campus, rotating weekends and holidays. Maintain current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- all required certifications upon hire
