Job Summary
Conduct critical care step-down nursing on the 7 West unit, managing patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. Perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies. Utilize rescue Bi-pap, high-flow oxygen, and trach/vent support while collaborating with PCNAs, nurse interns, and providers across the 14-bed floor. Work rotating shifts from 7a-7p or 7p-7a, including weekends and holidays, within a Level One Trauma Center environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- all required certifications upon hire
