Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse on a Neuro-Oncology/Multispecialty unit responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and supervising patient care per unit policies; provides supervision of non-RN personnel, serves as charge nurse, and preceptor to new staff. Performs neuro assessments, airway management (including suctioning for tracheostomy patients), and care for patients with halos/ventilators; supports education for patients and families; delivers chemotherapy/immunotherapy as part of oncology care and coordinates care across medical and surgical oncology services, including breast clinic and GYN/neurosurgery specializations. Requires CT RN license, BLS, and BSN preferred; strong computer/EMR proficiency expected.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- BSN preferred (educational credential)
- Experience in Oncology or Neuro care preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records
