Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) on adult acute care units with telemetry. Provides ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of individualized patient care; supervises non-RN staff, may serve as charge nurse and preceptor. Responsibilities include care planning, patient and family education, collaboration with healthcare team, and ensuring smooth department operation. Requires BSN-preferred qualification, CT RN license, BLS, and competency in neuro assessment, airway management for neuro patients, vent care, tracheostomy care, and related procedures. Works under the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator and may rotate to other units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN Preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- Proficient in use of computer software including Electronic Patient Records
