Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical units, with responsibilities including assessing patients, developing and coordinating Plan of Care, and supervising non-RN personnel. Acts as Charge Nurse and Preceptor to new staff. Performs ongoing patient assessments, documents and communicates outcomes, and collaborates with the healthcare team. Provides education to patients and families, supports discharge planning, and demonstrates Neuro-specific competencies (neuro assessment, airway management, caring for a tracheostomy, suctioning, and ventilator care). Requires BSN preferred and CT RN license; BLS required. Demonstrates proficiency with the TIA Teaching Program and coordinates care to ensure high-quality service.
