Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) provides patient-centered care on a nursing unit, assessing and planning care, coordinating with the healthcare team, and supporting education for patients and families. Responsibilities include supervising non-RN personnel, acting as charge nurse, precepting new staff, and applying neuro-focused assessments and procedures (neuro exams, airway management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, ventilator care) within an oncology and multispecialty setting. Requires BSN preferred, CT RN license, BLS, and oncology experience, with duties spanning plan-of-care development, implementation, evaluation, and education, as well as collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in Smilow Ambulatory Multispecialty Department YSC and related specialties.
