Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) units providing ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; supervision of non-RN staff; assumes charge nurse duties; acts as preceptor to new staff; delivers patient and family education; collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate care and prepare for discharge. Performs neuro-focused nursing tasks including neuro assessment and care of patients with tracheostomies, ventilation, halo braces, and related airway management; adheres to unit policies, demonstrates patient-centered care, and supports the hospital’s mission and values. Requires RN license in CT; BSN preferred; BLS required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- BSN preferred
- Proficient in use of Computer Software to Include Electronic Patient Records
