Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) on a specialty oncology/neuro-focused unit. Provides patient-centered nursing care across the continuum, assesses and plans care, delegates to non-RN staff, acts as preceptor and charge nurse, and collaborates with the healthcare team to implement and evaluate plans of care. Requires competency in neuro assessment, airway management, care of trached/neuro patients, ventilator care, and familiarity with the department’s Tia teaching program. Oncology and neuro-surgery experience highlighted; role emphasizes education, teamwork, and high-quality service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
