Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position at Yale New Haven Hospital, Saint Raphael Campus, functioning under the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. Responsibilities include assessing patients’ physical and psychosocial condition, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, coordinating care with the healthcare team, educating patients and families, supervising non-RN personnel, acting as preceptor and charge nurse, and ensuring high standards of service. Demonstrates competency in neuro patient care, airway management, caring for patients with tracheostomies, ventilators, and specialized neuro procedures; knowledge of the TIA teaching program. Requires BSN preferred, CT RN licensure, and BLS. Ability to use electronic patient records and perform duties across related adult acute care medicine units with telemetry.
