Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) on an oncology-focused unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients across the continuum, developing and communicating plans of care with patient and family involvement, coordinating and evaluating care with the healthcare team, teaching and documenting outcomes, functioning as a preceptor and charge nurse, and performing neuro-focused nursing tasks such as neuro assessment, airway management, tracheostomy suctioning, Halo brace care, and care for ventilated patients. Requires BSN preferred and CT RN license; works within Smilow Ambulatory Multispecialty Department with locations including Rochester, MN, and involves patient education and adherence to unit policies.
