Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse on a Neuro/Oncology-focused unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients continuously, developing and communicating a plan of care, coordinating care with the healthcare team, educating patients and families, serving as a preceptor to new staff, and performing charge-nurse duties. Requires demonstrating competency in neuro patient care, neuro assessment, airway management including tracheostomy care, and care for ventilated patients; familiarity with the department's oncology care processes and the Smilow Ambulatory Multispecialty setting. BSN-preferred; CT RN license; BLS required; oncology experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- RNs with Oncology experience required
- Oncology nursing experience preferred
