Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse on Neuro/Telemetry-focused units with Yale New Haven Hospital. Responsibilities include assessing patients continuously, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, coordinating care with the healthcare team, educating patients and families, and supervising non‐RN staff. May serve as Preceptor and Charge Nurse; demonstrates expertise in neuro assessment, airway management, suctioning (pharyngeal/endotracheal/tracheostomy), care of patients with Halo braces, and ventilator care. BSN preferred; CT RN license required; BLS required; supports use of electronic patient records. Performs duties to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and smooth unit operations according to unit policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN Preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- Proficient in use of Computer Software including Electronic Patient Records
