Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) on a Neuro-focused unit within Smilow Ambulatory Multispecialty / oncology care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and documenting care plans, coordinating with healthcare teams, supervising non-RN staff, acting as a preceptor and charge nurse, and ensuring education and discharge planning. Demonstrates competency in neuro patient care (neuro assessment, airway management, ventilator care, tracheostomy care, care of patients with Halo braces, and involvement in neuro procedures) and supports multidisciplinary cancer care across oncology and surgical oncology patient populations. Requires BSN (preferred) and CT RN license, with BLS. Locations include Mendenhall, MS; department focuses on solid tumor cancers and cancer treatment pathways (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies) and multidisciplinary support.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing; BSN Preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
