Job Summary
Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical oncology/neuro unit in Morristown, NJ. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and coordinating individualized care plans, supervising non-RN staff, acting as charge nurse, and providing patient and family education. Requires BSN preferred, CT RN license, and BLS; familiarity with neuro care (neuro assessments, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilator support) and oncology nursing is essential. Describes leadership in precepting new staff and ensuring high-quality service within a multidisciplinary cancer care team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing; BSN Preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records
- Must Have Ability To Use Internet For Literature Searches Regarding Care For Patients
