Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on the Medical Surgical-Orthopedic Unit from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, managing remote telemetry monitoring and common cases including joint replacements, spine procedures, and craniotomies. Perform basic arrhythmia recognition, administer heparin and Protonix drips, and utilize BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen support. Float to other MedSurg units as needed while adhering to strict scheduling blocks and 14-day maximum time-off limits. Maintain West Virginia licensure, hold required certifications including ACLS and BLS, and submit to pre-employment modules. This assignment is travel-only with a 13-week contract starting August 2026, offering $2,860 per week.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Experience with Epic
- West Virginia license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- Basic arrhythmia knowledge and ability to recognize fatal rhythms
- permanent staff read strips
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Driver's license
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 reference from the perm facility if candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months
- 1 reference from the same unit/specialty as the job

- Floats to any MedSurg unit
