Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage on a high-volume medical-surgical orthopedic unit serving adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including hip fractures, spine surgery, and trauma. Manage patient care involving total joint replacements, epidurals, and Hydromorphone PCA, while interpreting and managing dysrhythmias with telemetry experience. Operate Baxter IV pumps, SIGMA Spectrum Infusion Systems, and Omnicell equipment during 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Work every other weekend with no call, float to all sister units, and maintain a Maine or compact license. No call.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 6 months within the last 12 months
- Maine license or compact license
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Central Maine Healthcare
- no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Central Maine Healthcare
- Telemetry experience
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Every other weekend required
- Float to all sister units
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification required for submission
