Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage in a Medical Surgical-Orthopedic Unit treating post-operative joints, bariatric, GI, and trauma patients across geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations. Provide direct patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6 while floating between multiple units as needed. Maintain Tennessee or compact licensure, hold a driver's license, and complete ASN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications. Work weekends every third weekend with no call rotation, earning $2010 per week for a 12-week contract starting September 2026. Submit COVID vaccination documentation and charge/lead references within the last two years to expedite onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with any experience within the last 12 months
- 12 months of acute care experience
- ASN completion
- Tennessee license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- Religious and medical declinations accepted
