Job Summary
Provide care for post-trauma, surgical, and medically complex patients on the Orthopedic Unit, including floating to similar or lower acuity units as needed. Maintain patient safety through ACLS and BLS certifications while managing a medical patient population with comorbidities. Submit all time off requests at application and coordinate scheduling directly with the manager upon starting the assignment. Maintain a Missouri or compact license and provide two charge/lead references from the last 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience
- 2 years Ortho, inpatient only
- Missouri license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- 12 months gap between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO)
- 12 months gap between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO)
- Blocked scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements
- RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end
- Holiday RTO: only 1 request per assignment
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week
- Weekends as required by facility/every other weekend
- No call
- Night shift orients on day shift; traveler must be available the entire week for orientation
- As needed, to a similar or lower acuity unit
- AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
- Driver's license required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
