Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage in a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit, managing knee and hip replacements, multi-level spine surgeries, and equipment including coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs. Provide 24 months of recent orthopedic experience, 9 months of acute care within the last 12 months, and 24 months of total experience. Maintain a Tennessee or compact license, hold BLS certification, and possess a driver's license. Submit all time off requests at application and respond to auto-offers within 24 hours. Float to additional units by rotation and reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months
- 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months
- Tennessee license or compact license
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Must live >50 miles from facility
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift and handle coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
- Must be able to assist with knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries
- Must be able to work 4 weekend shifts per schedule
- Must be able to work 12 hours per shift
- Must be able to work 3 shifts per week
- Must be able to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Must be able to float to additional units and locations
- Must be able to work in a travel-only role (local not allowed)
- Must be able to submit all time off requests at application
- Must be able to work out scheduling requests with manager directly upon starting the assignment
- Must be able to respond to offers with a clear Yes or No within 24 hours
- Must be able to work a 13-week contract
- Must be able to work 1/6 nurse/patient ratio
- Must be able to work a 2026-08-31 contract date
