Job Summary
Conduct night shifts in a medical-surgical orthopedic unit treating adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, including total joint replacements, TIA, and stroke workups. Manage common drips like Lasix and Heparin while operating wound vacs, JP drains, colostomies, nephrostomy tubes, and central lines. Utilize oxygen modalities ranging from nasal cannula to BiPAP and capnography with PCAs. Maintain a 12-hour shift schedule with three shifts per week for a 13-week contract, requiring a BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Live >50 miles from facility
- COVID vaccination

- 12 months gap between for Staff at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health
- No current placement at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health
- Strong orthopedic experience/background
- Dysrhythmia exam
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- PCCN (Progressive Care Nursing (Adult))
- CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse)
- 14 days maximum time off
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification
