Job Summary
Conduct 12-hour day shifts on a Medical Surgical-Orthopedic Unit performing knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries. Manage patient care with support from a secretary, PCTs, and a navigator while utilizing coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs. Float by rotation to additional units and locations as needed. Maintain a Tennessee or compact license and hold BLS and NIHSS certifications. Submit all time off requests at application and respond to offers within 24 hours. This auto-offer position requires a driver's license and a charge/lead reference from the last 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months
- 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months
- Tennessee license or compact license
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Must live >50 miles from facility
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to float to additional units and locations
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs (implied by use of coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs)
Desired Qualifications
- 3 months of Meditech experience
