Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in a Neuro/Ortho unit, managing the neurologic and orthopedic patient population. Maintain 12 hours per shift across a 3-shift weekly schedule with flexible contract hours of 36 or 48 hours. Ensure compliance with all credentialing requirements, including a valid Texas license, NIHSS, and BLS certifications, while passing required specialty and EKG exams. Adhere to strict separation policies from Ascension Health, requiring a 6-month gap from prior placements at the program. Submit driver's license documentation matching claimed residence to qualify for travel rates.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience
- Texas license or compact license
- Local & travel allowed
- 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- 6 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main
- Driver's license
- Driver's license/state ID address must match claimed residence to receive travel rate
- Driver's license is required for RNs working on a compact license
- Ascension specialty exam required; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, only 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension EKG exam required; passing score of at least 80%, only 2 attempts permitted
- Candidates must have at least 6 months of separation from Ascension to be considered for a travel position
- 2 Charge/Lead references required
