Job Summary
Conduct Medical Surgical Oncology care for 12-hour shifts in a newly renovated unit featuring updated call bells, vital sign machines, scales, and IV pumps. Manage portacath access, utilizing existing skills or learning the procedure as needed. Provide 24 months of oncology experience with 9 months within the last 12 months, including 3 months of Meditech proficiency and 9 months of acute care. Work 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts on a rotating schedule, with every third weekend off and a maximum of 10 days time off. Maintain a Virginia or compact license, hold a driver's license, and complete required pre-employment modules. Submit a clear acceptance response within 24 hours to secure the auto-offer for this 13-week travel assignment.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 9 months within the last 12 months
- 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months
- Virginia license or compact license
- Ability to access portacath, or willingness to learn
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Must live >50 miles from facility
- Must be available for every third weekend
- Must be available for 1 day shift and 1 night shift of PTO granted at one time
- Must be able to work 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shift
- Must be able to float to additional units and locations
- Must be able to work 12 hours per shift
- Must be able to work 3 shifts per week
- Must be able to work 13 weeks contract
- Must be able to work 1/4-5 nurse/patient ratio
- Must be able to work travel only (local not allowed)
- Must be able to work 2026-08-24 start date
- Must be able to work auto-offer position
- Must be able to respond Yes or No to offers within 24hrs
- Must be able to submit all time off requests at application
- Must be able to work out scheduling requests with manager directly upon starting assignment
- Must be able to work newly renovated unit with new call bell system, vital sign machines, scales, and IV pumps
