Job Summary
Conduct Medical Surgical Oncology nursing care for patients including oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and med/surg overflow populations. Manage patient needs using computer systems, IV pumps, vital sign machines, and other basic medical equipment. Provide care on a night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with every other weekend scheduling and no call rotation. Maintain 12 hours per shift across three shifts weekly for a 13-week contract starting September 1, 2026. Float as needed to additional units and facilities within a 25-mile radius.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with any experience within the last 12 months
- 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months
- Alabama license or compact license
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Orlando Health
- no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Orlando Health
- Every other weekend
- No call
- As needed within scope, including to other facilities in a 25-mile radius if needed
- 14 days maximum time off
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
