Job Summary
Administer chemotherapy and manage mediports, PICCs, and central lines for patients on a rotating night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Perform lab draws, blood product transfusions, and central line access while adhering to a 12-hour shift schedule with three shifts weekly. Maintain a Texas or compact license and provide one Charge/Lead reference from the last 12 months. This travel-only role requires living more than 50 miles from the facility in San Antonio, Texas, with no on-call rotation and a maximum of 10 days time off.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 60 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 9 months within the last 12 months
- 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months
- Texas license or compact license
- Med-Surg/Tele RN experience
- Experience with mediports, PICCs, and central lines
- Chemotherapy certification
- ONS (Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Driver's license
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Must be able to float to additional units and locations
- Must live >50 miles from facility
- Must be available for Rotating weekends
- Must be available for Floating as needed
- Must be able to perform Chemotherapy administration
- Must be able to manage Central line and mediport access with lab draws
- Must be able to perform Blood product transfusions
