Medical Surgical Nurse

Perform therapeutic apheresis procedures autonomously in critical care, emergency rooms, and outpatient centers, including plasma exchange, red cell exchange, leukapheresis, stem cell harvests, and photopheresis. Assess patient status relative to procedures using the nursing process and laboratory results, while acting as a consultant to external healthcare personnel. Coordinate treatments with physicians and nurses across multiple hospitals to facilitate coordinated care, and evaluate medication compatibility for safety. Perform venipunctures, access central venous catheters, and manage vortex and bard ports. Assemble, restock, QC, and maintain supplies and equipment to ensure a clean, safe environment. Variable 1st shift Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with rotating on-call duties. Requires current state RN licensure, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. No prior apheresis experience required; training provided.
