Job Summary
Provide daily critical care for adult and geriatric patients in a Level One Trauma Center, managing respiratory support (ARDS, ECMO), post-code care, sepsis, GI bleeds, and liver transplant cases. Serve as an emergency responder throughout the hospital and utilize advanced life support therapies including continuous dialysis. Float to multiple units as needed while maintaining a Wisconsin or compact license. Complete required pre-employment modules and labs within 48 hours of signing. Work 12-hour day/evening shifts between 7:00am and 11:30pm with every other weekend rotation, some holidays, and a maximum of 14 days time off.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years)
- Experience with Epic
- Trauma Level 1 experience
- Wisconsin license or compact license
- Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience
- Teaching hospital experience is preferred
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health
- Day/Evening, 12 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am-11:30pm, including every other weekend rotation, and some holidays
- Will consider 4x12s
- 14 days maximum time off
