Job Summary
Conduct Medical/Surgical ICU care for adult and geriatric patients, performing all lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts. Float across all ICUs, ED, PACU, and MS/PCU units as needed. Manage isolation patients, including potential COVID-19 cases, using Alaris IV pumps, Servo I ventilators, and Fresenius CRRT dialysis machines. Complete required labs within 48 hours of signing and maintain a 12-month gap from prior placement at Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System. Work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with limited RTO to five days, requiring BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience
- Travel experience is preferred
- Experience with Epic is required
- Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license
- COVID vaccination required after submission
- Religious and medical declinations accepted
- Flu vaccination required for submission
- Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted
