Job Summary
Conduct medical-surgical care on the colorectal and bariatrics unit, including acute med surg and telemedicine responsibilities. Maintain 12 months of recent experience with 3 months in the last 12 months, ensuring 24 months of unit experience with 12 months within the last 18 months. Operate under a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, working three 12-hour shifts weekly with a maximum of one weekend shift per week or two shifts every other weekend. Adhere to a 16-week contract starting October 2026, taking at least one holiday and a minimum of 14 days off. Hold a New York license, provide BLS certification, and submit proof of identification and charge/lead references from the last 12 months. Take 12 months off from University of Rochester Medical Center affiliates.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 18 months
- New York license
- COVID vaccination
- Flu vaccination
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Supplemental Program - Highland Hospital
- no current placement allowed at Program: Supplemental Program - Highland Hospital
- 1 year recent experience in acute med surg/tele
- 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non U.S. candidates
- 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- Must work at least 1 holiday per contract
- Must be flexible according to the needs of the facility's schedule
- 14 days maximum time off
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
