Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results (SPE) and notifying donors of unsuitable results. Works under the Center Manager and Center Physician, following SOPs and guidance from BioLife Medical Affairs and EHS. Supports donor safety, informed consent, AIDS education, vaccination programs for employees, IV therapy requirements, and potential Pandemic Coordinator duties. Requires state-licensed nursing status (LPN/LVN) with CPR/AED certification and FDA-approved BioLife training; typically a two-year clinical/hospital background.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program and state licensure (LPN/LVN)
