Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations. Responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results (SPE), and informing donors of unsuitable findings. Follows SOPs for medical emergencies, assists with donor vaccination programs, and supports environmental, health and safety (EHS) activities. Requires EMT-Paramedic licensure, CPR/AED certification, and two years of clinical/hospital experience, plus adherence to FDA-approved training. Part-time role based in Fond du Lac, WI, with emphasis on donor safety, proper informed consent, and coordination with Center Physician and Medical Affairs as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
- EMT-Paramedic
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
