Job Summary
Determine donor eligibility by conducting medical history interviews, physical examinations, and reviewing laboratory results including Serological Protein Electrophoresis. Manage donor adverse events and evaluate reactions per SOPs, coordinating transport to emergency care when necessary. Support environmental, health, and safety programs while administering Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccinations. This role reports to the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring compliance with FDA training and plasma industry regulations. Based in Appleton, WI, the position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $20.00 - $29.26 for full-time employment with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Emergency Medical Technician -Basic (EMT-B), Advanced (EMT-A), Intermediate (EMT-I), and Paramedic (EMT-P), Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN), and Registered Nurse (RN)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
