Job Summary
Respond to internal and external customer requests with courteous, professional telephone etiquette, confirming understanding before transferring calls. Check-in all patients via the Integrated Scheduling Solution (ISS) and update demographics, including phone numbers, addresses, next of kin, and insurance details. Serve as a Patient Relations Representative by listening to feedback and concerns, self-resolving complaints tactfully. Manage daily clinic operations by opening and closing, updating no-shows within 24 hours, and monitoring faxes and mail per HIPAA standards. Maintain efficient workflows by completing assigned tasks and providing progress updates. Requires 6+ months of customer service experience, 50 WPM typing speed, and basic medical terminology knowledge. Full-time role Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm MST, with health, dental, vision, and 401(k) match benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
- Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
- Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Have a High School education or GED equivalent.
- Oral and written proficiency with English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Type at least 50 WPM.
- Basic medical terminology knowledge.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with the VA is a plus.
- Knowledge in use of VA software such as CPRS, VISTA, CTM, ISS system, HSRM, PPMS, and others is a plus.
